fish eye or air bubble

hi guys
i Just built a spinning rod for someone for xmas. My question is this i used 2 coats of flex coat lite.The finish was great. Really good but ,in a small feather inlay there is a small fish eye or bubble the the size of a pin head right in the middle of the inlay.!!! help Please.I don't want to try to refinish the butt wrap where i pictured frame the inlay.Santa is coming. thank you.everyone have a great holiday from my house to yours chip Re: fish eye or air bubble

Air bubble most likely. When fish eyes occur, they usually occur in great numbers.

I think I read some where that you can use your razor blade or a small drill bit to open up that bubble. Dig into it then using a syringe with epoxy inject it. after you get the bubble filled do on more coat over the top. Re: fish eye or air bubble

I have used a razor blade to cut open the top of the bubble and then just recoat one more time. Re: fish eye or air bubble
