I might be able to git to the Expo on Friday afternoon.
Will there be exibits set up in the afternoon say round 2 pm or so??

The Expo doesn't open until Sat morning but the hotel lobby/bar (right across the street) will be PACKED with builders all day and the parking lot of the Expo center will probably be full for the casting contests (do a search here for casting contest) The reception/party for Rodmaker subscribers is Fri evening in the Hotel Ballroom

I knew that the expo did not open til Sat,just wondered if there would be builders and suppliers
around to talk to Friday afternoon.
I subscribed to the magazine but I have not gotten my 1st issue yet.
I just got my rod wrapper today.
I got the American Tackle PBWB wrapper from Mudhole.

AS mike said, the hotel lobby & bar is jam packed with rodbuilders and those that are "in the biz" constantly the entire weekend. Each year there will be several Mid Westerners, NERBs, and Mudhole crazies trying to see who will be the last man standing at the hotel bar...then they'll spill out into the lobby once the bar closes.

All you need is a trip to the ICRBE and you will be as contaminated as the rest of us !!
You will be able to get all the goodies you need to get started and at good prices.
There will be plenty of people to ask if you are not sure of something.

The exhibitors will be setting up on Friday, but only the exhibitors will be allowed in the Showplace exhibition hall on Friday.

You will no doubt run into a ton of other builders in one of the hotels on Friday afternoon.
