I am not sure who is currently making them, but they are a very good value at their REGULAR price. I haven't used them recently, but I have built over 100 rods on them in years past, and they were well loved by their owners. I still have 3 that I fish on a regular basis.

I've built on both th Fish Eagle II and IM7 blanks . (6 1/2 & 7 ft. lengths)
The IM7's are very light but I had a few issues (breaks) with the spin rods, casting rods no problems.
The Fish Eagle II's are IM6 and a bit heavier, no issues.
The 6'6" M/F 2 pc. spin rod was a little stouter than I thought but it's good for Senkos.
I use and like the FE II casting rods.
I got mine a couple years ago now, couldn't beat the price/value.

I've built a few XML's for customers. They were quite pleased. The quality and performance of the blank was very good.

Gentleman,

Thanks for all the information provided. I went ahead and order some to practice my rod building skills.

One more question. What will be the difference between the spin and casting blanks.? Can you use the spin to make a casting rod?

In the past they were built by Gary when he was still in control of G.Loomis. Now, I believe they are imported.

You can use a spinning blank to make a casting rod and vice versa. A blank is a blank. It doesn't know the difference.

In some cases the blanks will have different powers and actions, though they may be rated the same.
