I just watched volume 2 weaving of the decorative rod wrapping video set hosted by artie herbert and he stresses many time only using ncp thread when weaving. Just wondering if others weave with regular thread with color preserver and any issues before I purchase the lot of NCP

I use both NCP and regular nylon as well as polyester and silk threads for weaving and always use CP even with metallic & black only thread weaves. There is good reasoning behind using CP on weaves and there is a tutorial in this forums LIBRARY section by Doc Ski "Packing & Rolling Weaves" you should look at.

I almost ALWAYS use CP when doing weaves. I second reading that very informative tutorial by Doc.

I like Arties videos but keep in mind they were filmed in the 70's I think. Lot's of things have changed since then.
