Centre Pin handle length ?

Building yet another pin rod and have questions regarding handle length for some of you more experienced crafters here on the board. I thus far have built on the Lami 11'3", Forecast 12'6" spey, and am now laying up the 11'6" Forecast spey. Both the existing 12'6" and 11'3" have the same handle configuration, 9" rear, 4"-17mm reel seat and 11" fore (total handle length is 24") . My main question pertains to changing the lengths of cork up a bit, balance factor aside.
I like the current setup well enough but was thinking slightly shorter rear and fore corks this time around, due to the blank being lighter. Any drawbacks or suggestions in doing or not doing this ? I don't do the "rear arm tuck under" very often I might add... (By the way, sliding rings are not desireable.) Thanks in advance for any input that may be offered in the matter. I have no idea what a "logged in member alert" is.

My mistake in the wording Tom. I meant the "sorry, only registered users may post in this forum" reply after I first posted ?
Thanks. Re: Centre Pin handle length ?

It is all about what you like and what reel you fish for balance. I fish a kingpin reel and like to build my handles so that when I am holding the reel the butt of the rod falls about my elbow or so. This aides me in applying pressure to the fish when fighting and easier to hold and drift a longer rod all day ( I fish mostly 13') I put just a few inches in front of the reel (5-6 or so) Just my .02 Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
