How long should I wait before applying my rod finish to the waterslide decal after application. Re: Waterslide Decals

Any tips on applying this full color water slide decal (white backing) to my rod. Question for you guys aswell, my decal has lettering along with the logo, in full color on a white backing. Does this mean that when I apply this decal to my rod I will have a white outline around the lettering and logo? Impossible for me to cut each letter... Had I know a white background would outline my logo I would have gone a different direction. Should I order differently to rid myself of a white outline - cause it will just not look right with a white border around my letters and decals. Any help would be awesome. Edited 1 time(s). Yes, if you used white waterslide paper, your label will have white outlines around everything once you put it on the rod...including between the letters
The only way to not have that is to order custom made decals or use clear decal paper and either paint the rod where you are going to place it or use a light colored thread wrap. I use the method outlined here: [www.rodbuildingtutorials.com] If you have a rod that is any other color than black or slate grey, you can SLIGHTLY tint the background color with your editing software to green or blue or whatever color your blank is to make it match.
