I new to all rod making,but can't wait to get started.I'm having to make my own hand wrapper and was wandering if anyone has any pictures or diagframs of any type.I have all of the wood and tools to build one,but need somewhere to start.Thanks for the help. Re: homemade wrapper(need info)

I have built a few from the plans that Tom points to in the library section above and they work great. They can be built to any length you like, and can be made from scrap wood. One bit of advice I would give, is when you build the thread holder, build it so that the tension is applied to the spool instead of the thread itself. This cuts down on fraying of the thread.
