NFC Blogspot Two Way Street

I was reading the NFC blog a little while ago and I think they hit the nail on the head and helped show why the CCS is so valuable.

If a customer comes into your shop and says he’d like to have a rod a rod built that’s a “little longer” than what he has now. What do you do? I think most of us would ask him how much longer and expect an answer in inches or feet. After all, a “little longer” doesn’t really tell you much. But saying “six inches longer” will tell you what you really need to know.

Up until the CCS came along when somebody said they wanted a rod with a “little faster action” or a “little more power” there was no way to put any sort of number on exactly HOW MUCH more they were talking about. Now there is.

If you have not read today’s blogspot here is it. Note the second paragraph. I keep up with it a few times each week and find it a nice way for a manufacturer to keep the customers up to speed on anything going on. Very enjoyable. I wish more would do this.

How long, what fish and how heavy are they, --- the lure weight they want to use, very important, the rod they are already using, good starting places. If the rod he has is extended, it will be a little faster.
