This is the first ever calendar created by Rod Builders, for Rod Builders. In 2009, FishingPhotos.net (in partnership with Mud Hole Custom Tackle) ran a contest to see who could submit the best custom-built fishing rod photos. The contest was a wild success thanks to all of our talented friends in the custom rod building community! Over $1,200 in prizes were awarded to the winners.
Winners came from all walks of life and areas of the globe - stretching across three continents worldwide! With so many great submissions it wasn't easy to choose, but we've whittled the list down to a dozen winners. Winning photos were chosen based on a combination of artistic value, photography, originality, technical difficulty and aesthetic preference.
