Lumi Seal Have you used it ??

Picked up this LumiSeal from Scott at Fish Sticks. Not bad stuff, A little thicker then the Permagloss but a little thinning and it goes on well. I have cool temps here so i have to see how it works in the Spring and Summer. But nice. Put it on Sunday and did the fingernail test and today it is nice and hard. Adhesion is nice. I like this stuff !

Any one try it ??

I`ve used it several times as a clear coat several times. Billy saw the blue blank I did. It holds up well (so far) and is smooth as glass.

Just wanted to what other builders thought. Figured by now a few have used it.

I put it on with the foam from the Home Depot foam paint brushes. I have some cheese cloth and am thinking of trying that, and maybe a brush. See which I like better.
It is a little thick right out of the bottle. But I figure I thin it and have a little more then I bought.

That is why I was asking. Seems to be just as good. In the cool weather I am having here it drys well. After about three days it gets nice and hard for a thumb nail test. Does not seem to be as hot as permagloss. I am still playing with it. But I like it.

Thanks for the posts guys, I have been using it for sometime now and thought it has done quite well. I am using it now on my carbon fibre grips as a top coating, it is holding up well in rod holders on my boat. I make my initial handle then I sand it smooth and then I apply the LumiSeal. I get a textured feel in my hands and my friends who have used the rods like that feel also. I have also used it to top coat some rods after I have painted them and because it is not as hot it doesn't tend to want to lift the paint off of the blank, generally because it is a little thicker I only need 1 coat. Thanks again for trying our product.

How would this product work as a topping for burl cork or even wood seat inserts, grips, etc?

Probably the same as permagloss. If not better. Thinned out with several coats.
