Expo Seminars

I have just put up our preliminary list of seminars to be presented at the 2010 International Custom Rod Building Exposition. You can find them at: [home.earthlink.net]

The list is not quite complete - we have between 2 and 4 more to add once the preparations and presenters have been nailed down. We should have those finalized in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

If you can figure out a way to present the same number of seminars in the same number of hours, and without any running at the same times, I'm all ears.

Great job Jim Upton & Tom putting this list togehter. Nice to see some new seminars in there with new presenters (no disrespect ot teh guys who have done them in teh past, it's just good to have fresh new info shared). I'm pretty psyched abot doing both of the Decorative seminars, I'm hoping ot have a lathe setup so I can turn some grips down. Big thumbs up!!

No, sorry. Far too much cost for far too little demand. We've been down this road before.

Not to mention that recorded seminars make lousy instructional videos and DVDs. Good instructional DVD's are done in a studio setting with "props" and scripts done specifically for that medium.

Hello Tom

Is it possible to get the aproximate length of each seminar to help decide which to see?

Looking forward to my first ICRBE in Feb.

Thanks to all involved.

Bob.

Most all of them run just under 1-hour. The exception are the basic rod building seminars in Room A and held both mornings. They run about 1-1/2 hour or just slightly longer.

Some of the seminars spill over into the general area to finish up in a more intiment setting. Thar is the beauty of the ICRBRE.

Fred the "spilling" in some cases is not best described using the word "beauty"

Few examples -

1. MJ red eyed with a short sleeve shirt on standing in the parking at 20 degrees telling all that it is hot down south while @#$%& on a cigarette!

2. Barkley holding court in the Lounge at 1:00 am

3. Famished builders walking down the street to the Little Italy at nine pm

4. Builders standing in a crowd at the reception watching all the ladies win the drawing prizes.

5. Gardner crawling around in the bushes after dark looking for his rattle trap so he can claim victory in the casting contest.

6. A bearded person wearing one purple and one yellow shoe talking fast and funny!

Tony Politi, that is funny. I think I could be the co-presenter with you. "Now that you have seen a pro doing a thread wrap with ease, let me show you my way...dammit, were did I put that thread?!!"....as the rod falls off the wrapper on to the ground taking half the things on the table with it! LOL
