Building the Next Generation>>>>

The Batson Enterprises Team & the Team of JD Instuctional just got back from the FFA National Convention. This was by far the largest event that we have ever been a part of, there were well over 55,000 participants. This is the first of many events that we will be participating in to build the Next Generation of Rod Builders and Fisherman. This is the first National event that we have taken this exciting and dynamic program to. We have been working on this program for the past 6 years on a regional level and are ready to take it to the WORLD. We call it Batson University , Batson U for short>>www.batsonuniversity .com.
This was a great way to touch the lives of this energetic generation. The FFA with its knowledge and commitment to the next generation is exactly what we were looking for to promote this program. They were so receptive to the ideas and philosiphy of our program that it was a big hit.
We had the pleasure to teach 400-500 students (ages 14-18) the start of this great craft / industry. We handed out over 1500 flyers to the educators and decision makers for the building of our Next Generation. This program teachers so much more than just Rod Building.
Engages and excites students with a unique approach to learning.
Teaches valuable hands on skills that translates to life lessons in time management, organization, hard work, persistence, and follow through.
Builds students confidence & Self esteem
Meets national Education Requirements across the curriculum in many different areas.
Artistic expression & creative outlet.
and so much more.

We have developed a full Education criteria and all the information needed to build a successful program.
It is about building the "NEXT GENERATION" of successful individuals and if we can help in some way by introducing them to the Art/Industry of Rod building then even better.
We feel this is Very Important in so many aspects of the world we live in today. The Passion in which you persue your life depends on the Passion you are shown in Life.

Billy,
It was great seeing all of you at the show in Indy. Having been offering this type of program for almost 2 years nationally it is good to see that someone else has seen the need for this type of education program. You most certainly will have your skill set and knowledge base challenged offering this as a national program. With over 100 years of rod building under our belts here at Mud Hole we have faced this on an ongoing basis. But the rewards we at Mud Hole have received not only from offering the program but from teaching it also far outweigh the challenges.
Congratulations and good luck,

Todd

Todd,
Thank you>>
Having been working on this project for 6 years now we feel very confident that we have done our "homework" on it. We are up for the challenge as it is the "Next Generation" that is important to us and the future of this Great Craft/Industry and so much more in regards to "LIFE". We have seen this for many years but putting together a successful program does not happen over night, we take this very serious.

These are the type programs that help ensure the health and well being of the craft. It costs a little now, but pays big dividends in the future. Far too few kids get hands on fishing instruction from a parent anymore, let alone any exposure to custom rod building, so it falls on the rod building industry to do this for itself. Good job, Bill.

Just checked out the Baston University link on the Batson website. The smiles on the students' faces in the testimonial section are priceless. There are no instructional options anywhere near where I live here in northern Idaho. Wish I could have started out on this rod building journey 25 years ago!
