I have a pair of very nice actioned 5ft 8inch stand up rods on calstar Grafighter760L blanks(they have 4 inch cut from the butt)

I would like to have two slightly lighter versions made.Would a Gafighter 765xl blank have a the same sort of action (but lighter) with 10 inches cut from the butt or does it shut down further away from the tip being a longer blank

I live in england so I just cant go pull on a blank

Regards Gary

Sorry for not being clear , I am worried that if the blank shuts off much further away from the tip than the 760L then the action will be too slow

(with 4 inches off the butt the 760 L still has a fast action)

has any body cut 10 inches off the butt of a 765xl and what was the action like

( I know I could go with a fast action 660 e glass blank and 5ft 8 inch would be ok ,but I would like to stay with Graphiters- but something a little lighter than a 760L

Regards gARY
