Arcrylic Question

Hello All:

I had printed a few decals I will be placing on a rod for my wife. The decals are a name as well as a teddy bear that wlll be on a wrap. I am going to apply clear acrylic sealer matte finish.
Would it be suffice to just coat them with two coats or would just one coat do so that it seals the decal ? By the way the Acrylic im using is the one sold in craft stores.

Thanks in advance

Although I am no expert, I usually put down one heavy coat and have never had any issue. I've got the craft store type also.

The only advantage to a second coat is on the chance you missed a spot (edges in particular) on the first. One may be enough but two isn't going to hurt.

Thanks for the replies guys, I went ahead a put a second coat for safety as Tom mentioned, just in case a spot was missed somewhere.
