Any non-epoxy finishes or glues on the horizon?

Just wondering from those in the industry - are there any non-epoxy glues or finishes we may see in the near future, other than what we have like Permagloss?

Gudebrod offers some water based polyurethanes which actually work pretty well for coating thread wraps. In fact, you can pick up a can of almost any exterior grade clear gloss urethane and use it for coating your wraps. It gives very nice results but requires 3 to 4 coats to build depth.

Tom, I like to do some marbling too - any idea if the Gudebrod could be used for a flood coat, then top coated with regular epoxy?

Probably, but I really don't know anything about "flood" coats and that sort of thing.

A while back I had a conversation with Andy Dear when he owned the Threadmaster brand. He mentioned that it was a "greener" product and a lot less irritating than many other finishes. Does anyone else have experience with that info?

Marc, i use Gudebrod 840 for two coats after two or three coats of CP on my feather work. Then TM lite epoxy. The 840 gets into the gaps in the 'fat' feathers better than any epoxy i have tried so far and i get no air bubbling out.
Just make sure the coats dry well and it works well for me.
