Reel Seat suggestion for 8wt Perigee

I am looking for a reel seat for a 7-8 wt lamiglas Perigee. Anyone have any suggestions ... I would like to match the insert with the blank. ATC carries some window seats, but I am not sure that color green will work. The Perigee color is more of a dark to med olive green. Cabela's had a spin seat (woven graphite) with nice cusioned hoods, but no longer carry it. Also need cork FW grip 1 1/8 inch of good quality... who carries it.

Have you thought about a skeleton seat and then making an insert to match in your choice of wood or acrylic?

I have a grizzly lathe; not sure it would handle wood stock or acrylic. I was hoping to find a matching graphite insert.

Dennis,
I have made quite a few Perigee rods and never did find an insert of any kind that matched, so I went with a close match of the thread to blank color. Sulky makes a metallic thread that works very well and I put just a hint of gold in the wraps to match the gold flakes, even the more conservative guys seem to like the wraps . I used the Struble all titanium U-22 reelseats on the heavier weight fly rods.

If you're looking for an all aluminum Struble seat for not much money check out the newer U15HG & U18HG. Colors available are green, blue, grey and black. Maybe the green will match your blank color.
The U18 is a slightly bigger O.D. otherwise they're the same design. Can be had for $25-$27 dollars. Very nice units. I've been very happy with the grips and cork rings from Angler's Workshop.
I'm know others have nice stuff but AW has been consistently good.

Thanks for you suggestions. I just wished Cablea's still carried the medium dark olive deluxe spin seat that they had in the past; it was a perfect match for the Perigee.
