2nd Build

I just finished my second build. I think the eyes wraps came out better than the first. I did a chevron on the butt wrap and I guess I missed the layout. The pattern looks ok but the parts that where left open are different sizes. I thought that I had it but I guess it moved. This one is a CalStar BTG 196-7 Blank. I can’t wait to give it a try on the Sturgeon out here. I Can't wait to start next one just have to find the time.

Using white underwraps over a dark blank on only your 2nd build is a little on the brave side. It looks like you did well with that.

Looks good to me.
If you had not told me it was messed up, I would have thought it was supposed to be that way.

The 196 tip is perfect for the delicate bite of the sturgeon.
I think you will really enjoy a fish fight with that rod.
The 270 is also a nice sturgeon blank, very similar action.
