rod finish for multiple piece rods

I haven't built a 4 piece flyrod. Any tips on putting the rod finish on? I do have a homemade rod dryer. Re: rod finish for multiple piece rods

Do it the same way you do any other rod. Assemble the sections and treat it as a 1-piece model. Just be careful not to get finish down from the ferrule onto the adjoining piece.

I wrap teflon tape around the male end just incase I should flinch.

On sections I put a scrap section into it, Making sure it goes in tight. Then I build a little - plug - with 1/4" tape. Pull it out and the plug fits up tight to the female end. Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
