Hi,
I'm Jeroen from Belgium, I've recently finished my first rod (st-croix SC2) and I think I'm addicted...instead of going fishing I spend most of my free time behind my wrapper :-) I'm working on my second rod now (st-croix 7'11" SCV) which I will use for pike fishing. I want to build it with fuji titanium sic guides and all titanium components. the only problem I have is finding a titanium winding check. I've bought one from fuji (matagi Japan) in titanium but I don't like the shape of it...I prefer the "smaller" ones like the struble NS ones. I know it may sound stupid but I'd rather use the same "metal" on the whole rod (I don't like the idea of using titanium guides, a nickel silver winding check and a stainless steel spacer behind the reel seat...) Does anybody know where I can get titanium winding checks or are they not available?? thank you very much greetz, Jeroen Re: titanium winding check

Jeroen,
Did yiu try the Struble blued NS check? I've seen a few Ti coated seats that are in the same general shape as the Strubles at Schoff Tackle, but are a bit thicker construction. The color, however, is a lighter in shade than the Fujis. The LTWC (Lt Ti) checks. Re: titanium winding check
