A customer of ours in Argentina is looking for a supplier for Nickel Silver bar stock and tubing to manufacture his own reel seat hardware. Evidently Nickel Silver is hard to come by or not available in Argentina. Any suggestions I can forward to this customer? Thanks in advance for your help and guidance.

Bill: I did a search on the web and so much came up to sort through it drove me nuts! I know nothing about the nickle to silver content,weights, sizes needed etc. I was hoping that someone on the forum had already been through this and might know where to point me for this customer.

there is no silver in it, it's nickel, copper and zinc. What you want is 18% nickel. Try Bob Vennerri, he sells raw materials as well as finished reel seats.

Try looking at Mcmaster-carr they have almost any type of metal you want. But if it is nickel, its probably going to pretty wicked to cut. I've cut some nickel alloys at work and it was not fun. If you get like an alloy 200, that has copper in it and should cut a little better.
