No 6wt line for testing

I'm getting ready to build a 6wt fly rod, but don't have any 6wt line to test cast with.

Check your local Wal Mart.
Some sell an inexpensive WF floating line for 12-14 dollars. If you want to buy a good line check RIO Good fishing Gene Re: No 6wt line for testing

Where do you live? Try a 7wt as alot of times the fly guys will load a line that is a bit heavier than the rod rating. KK Re: No 6wt line for testing

Any rod will cast any line. If you just want to cast the rod, moving up or down a line size will work find as long as you adjust how much of it you hold beyond the tip.
If you're testing for clearance, there won't be that much difference in one size, up or down. ............ Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
