Looking at the ad for Anglers Roost nickel ferrules the price is right and the quality looks good. But are these for bamboo rods only? What would happen if you used these to make multipiece graphite spinning rods? Re: ferrules for graphite rods

Although designed for bamboo fly rod blanks, you can use them on any rod type.
A couple things to consider - these are beautiful ferrules and at less than half the price of other similar nickel silver ferrules they're certainly a tremendous value. At the same time, they're still much more than common chrome over brass ferrules. So you have to consider the price range of the rods you plan to use them on. You also have to consider weight. Although lighter than similar chrome over brass ferrules, they're going to be heavier than integral or add-on graphite or glass ferrules. ............. Re: ferrules for graphite rods

Johnny can be reached at jksalesandservice on AOL or via phone at 716 565-9838 He runs his business through the internet on the "E" site. He also has brass/chrome ferrules - and some of the nicest machined aluminum fly reels you'll find at half (or less) than you'd expect to pay. Re: ferrules for graphite rods

I've used them - very nice "pop" without lapping to correct differences in diameter. Re: ferrules for graphite rods
