I don't know about the reverse spiral Raymond, but what about changing the configuration of the grip itself? Suppose you could make something that put the reel below the blank when on the retrieve, but still "upside down" and still allow her to cast it the "right" way?? I have something like a 90 degree offset in mind. I can see the Cobra handle modified so that she would at least get a more stable retrieve position on it. Not really sure what is going through my head except that different shaped grip ought to be the thing to look at?? Re: Configuration Dilemma (would you?)

Raymond,
IF I were going to try a spiral for this kind of a set up, I think that I would use larger than normal guides for the bumper or transitions, since the reel is so far above the blank. Once I was at 180, I would go as small as possible from there on out to the TT. Like anything else, try some different placements and sizes until you find the one that casts the best. Then, wrap and finish it. She'll have a true custom rod. George Re: Configuration Dilemma (would you?)

I understand how she manages to retrieve it like that, but how does she hold the rod to cast it? Re: Configuration Dilemma (would you?)

Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
