I'm looking to build a rod for somoene who told me they don't care what colors I use. I've said to people that I thinkthat regardless of teh color combintion, you should be able to use the colors properly and get them to look nice. WEll, I'd like to put that theory to the test.

Please pick 3 colors which you think look terrible together - Purple, brown, and green for example. Do not start telling me what spools of thread to use, just pick any 3 colors and I'll see what I can do.

When I'm done with the rod I'll put up some pics.

Pink, orange, and Turquoise - I actually think that would be a really nice color combo.
Purple, pink & orange - THat would make a really nice Easter Egg.
Dark BRown, pink, and green - That is pretty bad. I think olive green with anything stinks.
Brown & Blue - leave it to a cajun to forget to add a third color. Brown & Blue is like Earth.
Purple, red and orange - that's 2 votes for purple and orange as 2 of teh crappy colors, funny thing is I just did a Purple and Orange rod, lol.

Auburn colors are ugly, I agree. Gotta love college football being right around the corner.

Yellow, black, and anything!! I hate the y/b combo, and this is what keeps me from buying any DeWalt tools. Very petty reason, but I can't help myself.

MIke, I'm with you on that. Black & Gold, Black and Yellow are 2 combo's which put me to sleep. I will say that people buy Black & Gold rods hand over fist more than almost any other color combo though, at least for the area I fish.

After seeing the yellow and black suggestion, how about yellow, black and olive green or yellow, black and pink?
