Epoxy

Has anyone ever tried Enrico Puglisi 30min epoxy on their rods? I have it for tying flies. It is waterproof and dries clear. I figured that I would try it for my epoxy ramp instead of 5min. I wasn't sure if anyone was having problems with their 5min yellowing.

Jeff-I think that most are tinting there epoxy used for ramp making-eliminating the problem of yellowing. Mudhole has a kit of 5 or 6 colors for tinting finish used in marbeling and colors can be bought individually. I use a 30 minute epoxy-applying it like rod finish with rod turning-levels nicely. I mix it in my finish mixer-way fewer bubbles than by hand-allowing it to mix a couple of minutes then adding tint. I check it often and apply when viscosity reaches the just right (for me) point. Edges can be evened and cleaned up with an alcohol dampened coffee filter or edges can be taped (works well on threaded end) before applying...makes nice clean edges will very little cleanup. Remove tape as soon as application is finished or you will create another problem.
