I buy lightweight PVC drain pipe and a couple of end caps. Cost about $4 to make a 7' tube. You can get it from 1 1/2" dia. to 6" dia. I haven't had a shipping mishap yet.

I make mine from 2" or 3" PVC drain pipe (thin wall). I used a textured spray paint on my last one. Not as classy as the commercially available ones, but it does the job.

I use Angler's Workshop for my larger diameter custom length stuff. Landmark for most other stuff. Angler's isn't a bit more expensive.

Thanks

Bill,
In addition to the good advice about the pvc tubes, you can also use 4 inch rain gutter downspout.
It is very inexpensive and it works well and is very strong. The only issue, is that you may or may not be able to get a matching cap for the downspout tubing.

Take care
Roger

My vote goes to the Classy Carrier by Chu-Kar corporation.
These are made in Port Clinton, Ohio using all American made components, and they are excellent cases.

Made of 1,000 denier Cordura and triple stitched througout; this thing is a beast... and available in a variety of colors and custom options.

If ya want a little proof of how durable they are, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smNe6bWqeFc";][This Video].
