Hi,
I would like to ask you couple questions.
I bought 2 rainshadow blanks and I am looking for guides and handle lenght. I will built them as a spinning rods.

1; live bait RCLB L 15-30lb( handle lenght, type of guides and size).(20lb braid)

2;popping IP904F 8-17lb ( I would like to use micro guides as a running guides).(10lb braid)

I am asking because I don't have any expirience with saltwater rods.

Thank you for your help Jerry

I will use Catalyst PTS(30 or 40) for popping rod and Shimano Spheros(5000) for RCLB blank.

Steve:
I checked the guides on Batson website but for RCLB blank there is no guide type or spacing for spinning rods only casting.

Thank you!!

In racing, being copied is the ultimate form of flattery; it is also a good way to allow others to test new waters for you. My point is that everyone watches what everone else does. I look at what I like in retail poles I own and what I dislike. I cast my friends poles and look at the different nuances in poles at the stores or rod shows. Just like race cars -fishing poles are in some form handmade and therefore individual little snow flakes. The same can be said of race car drivers -I can take a car and sit on the pole with it, and another driver can get into it and want to crush it and start all over.

Enjoy the ride and remember, the worst pole I ever made is the best handle reamer I own!

Build rods, experiment, and cite you inspiration; helps the new guys like us, and thanks the old guys for giving back to what they love.

Basically it is up to you. I would call Karry Batson and get his opinion. Then call Todd Vivian at Mud hole and get his thoughts. Then go to a supplier and get their opinion. You well find no one will have the same answer. The same goes for this site or and other site

For starting points try St Croix's site and Fuji.
