I have not done weaving on a rod. I was wondering what I need to get started. What kind of tools do I need? What is a good book or video? Thanks Lance

Lance: There are several videos available on weaving. Doc Ski, Artie Hebert, and Cam Clark are three that come to mind. I'm sure that some of the supplires listed to the left stock them. John

From experience I can tell you that a loom is basically necessary unless you can undure a painfull learning curve. Not that it can't be done without it but it makes it much easier. The wonder weaver, which may be expensive to some, makes weaver a dream for me instaed of the chore it used to be. I only other advice I have is to count and recount your threads before you start because that is the worst when you are almost done with a weave only to reach for a thread and have it not be there. Hope this helps.

Hi Lance-

I have a few copies of the Doc Ski video available (it's an excellent resource), if you're interested, just email me thru my site on the left. I'm in Chicago, too!

I think somebody said that Ian Miller was selling them down under. Do a search on this site for his name and lift his email address and ask direct.
