I have a customer wanting a 15' to 16' one piece rod, 25#-40# I can find the blanks in a two piece and up to 13 1/2 in a one piece. Do any of you know of anyone making anything with these specs?
Thanks, Jeff Hunter Re: Blank for surf rod

To get real long sturgeon rods out of the shorter blanks many use an extension that's in the Anglers Workshop catalog. I believe it's listed as Part # GRAPHX. Re: Blank for surf rod

Bob,
It may be glass, composite, whatever I'm no sure as I haven't personally seen the need to go that long, frankly after watching some of the guys I'm not sure I and many of them really have the skookum to maximize that length rod. I was just trying the let him know what I thought the part # was, I'm at work and didn't see it on Angler's site. Re: Blank for surf rod

JEff, before you continue your search, make sure you are prepared to pick that blank up at a local suplier who has it in stock, or pay a substantial amount for shipping.
I thikn AFAW blanks come up to 15', but they are 2 piece. Not sure why you want a 1 piece though, with the new ferrules and location of the ferrule, 1 piece rods will become obsolete at some point. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
