Time to look for something different -
Looking for a good alternative to TM 5 Min Ultimate Gel since I can't seem to find any in stock in larger jars. One distributor informed me it was discontinued and a second said they thought it was no longer available. I use for tips and epoxy ramps. What other epoxies have y'all found successful for this? Really looking for a paste/gel type as opposed to a liquid. ----------------- AD Re: 5 min epoxy

QuickBond is all I know of, but that's not going to set in 5 minutes. Will be more like 10 to 15.

I thought about LocTite or Devcon 5 min - it's thicker at least, but thought I'd see if anyone else has tried it first.
My solution was U40 as well to this point. ----------------- AD Re: 5 min epoxy

Alex,
All I have ever used is the 5-minute epoxy from Flex Coat. I have had great success with it, it comes in 15-minute also. Good Luck, Steve Steve Bro (BroCo Custom Rods) Re: 5 min epoxy

Don't bother with the Loc-tite 5 min. I have tried several bottles of the stuff and the hardener gets thick fairly quickly after the seal is broken. I take care not to contaminate so I doubt that was the problem....particularly after 3 different bottle sets. Re: 5 min epoxy

U40 has always worked pretty good for me. Re: 5 min epoxy

Why are you just looking for 5 min.? I would try a home in provment store if that is what you are looking for or a good Plumbing shop. Good Wraps Bob Re: 5 min epoxy

Bob - I like the work time, put it on, turn for a couple minutes, smooth it, let sit, wrap guides, come back, wrap thread up ramp (if desired) - done.
Got with Scott and getting some in bulk. Got plenty to last me a while. Thanks! ----------------- AD Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
