rod handles

I am new to this site and would like to know how to make rod handles. I know nothing about rod building but would like to know to make handles & seats. I do do woodturning as a hobby. any help would be appreciated. Thanks Joe Re: rod handles

As you are a woodturner hobiest, I doubt a DVD on turning will give you much more. I think size, shape and the ergonimics are probably more important then. One of the rodmaker mags dealt with ergonomics quite well; and many of the back issues have different grip templates...it seems to me that there might have been one issue devoted to shapes, I dont recall. Anyway, I would try search the back issues on the rodmaker magazine site on the left. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
