i have an extra Rainshadow.....ISB783 6'6" F MH 10-17 5/16-3/4 Spinning Jig Blank and i don't really need another spinning rod....now my question is would it be a good idea to build the blank for a casting rod?
thanks guys

If you need another casting rod and the specs on the blank fill your requirements, then go right ahead. The blank doesn't care and will have no way of knowing what type reel you hang on it.

My most popular blank is the Batson XSB843-TC built casting....just don't tell my customers or the bass it's supposed to be a spinning rod ;-)

A full 20-25% of the blanks I use to build inshore spinning rods are factory specified "casting" blanks. Bend it - if you like the result, build it.

The SC368MXF makes an excellent rod spin or cast...as do many others.
