Spinning Blank to a Casting Rod

i have an extra Rainshadow.....ISB783 6'6" F MH 10-17 5/16-3/4 Spinning Jig Blank and i don't really need another spinning rod....now my question is would it be a good idea to build the blank for a casting rod?

If you need another casting rod and the specs on the blank fill your requirements, then go right ahead. The blank doesn't care and will have no way of knowing what type reel you hang on it.

A full 20-25% of the blanks I use to build inshore spinning rods are factory specified "casting" blanks. Bend it - if you like the result, build it. Re: Spinning Blank to a Casting Rod

The SC368MXF makes an excellent rod spin or cast...as do many others. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
