I believe most pen turning suppliers offer it. HUT Products, Pen State, CraftWorks, etc.

Buy several strips and have then bonded together to make a turning square Re: corian

Before you buy it, consider going down to the local cabinet shop. Most of them WILL donate small scraps of Corian AND even small scraps of hardwoods. Re: corian

You can get scraps from places that do counter tops. All you need to do is use a hole saw and you can cut rings out. I made a handle totally out of corian one time, turned out great. I used the corian glue that Woodcraft has to glue the rings together. Re: corian

I fabricate Corian counter tops and I would think it would make your handles a little heavy not to say anything about the expansion and contraction due to heat or cold. I just never thought about using Corian. Re: corian

For the rod I made, it was a split handle, and it balanced out the rod very well. I have not had any problems with it yet. The next one though, was planning on using some of the reelseat bushings and making it a bit lighter. Re: corian

I made winding checks with some Corian - the stuff is extremely heavy. PErsonally, I dont' have issues with heavy like others do, used on the right type of rod adding weight at the butt can definitely balance the rod out nicely. IMO, if you are looking to make a really light rod this is not the stuff to use. I got a bunch of samples from the link Mark provided. Re: corian
