Going through my blank injventory and found this 4pc 9' 0" brown or bronze blank. It is in a plastic sleeve and has a paper label with only the above info. I must have had it for some time. It feels "fast" ( or at least stiffer) compared to lots of other 4 wt blanks I have around. Can anyone help me identify it? Thanks Re: FR 906-4

Fast and stiff are not the same thing. Fast action describes how it flexes. If most of the initial flex is in the upper 1/3rd of its length, it's a fast action blank.
The numbers would indicate a Fly Rod, 9' 6-weight in 4 pieces. The problem is, that's common nomenclature used by several companies. Are there any other identifying marks or inscriptions on it or the bag? ............. Re: FR 906-4

Doug,
The FR906-4 is an excellent blank, and it is as Tom suggested; a 9' 0" 4pc 6wt.. and it is rated Fast. Tight wraps! Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 06/23/2009 10:29AM by Brian Morrow. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
