FR 906-4

Going through my blank injventory and found this 4pc 9' 0" brown or bronze blank. It is in a plastic sleeve and has a paper label with only the above info. I must have had it for some time. It feels "fast" ( or at least stiffer) compared to lots of other 4 wt blanks I have around. Can anyone help me identify it? Thanks

Fast and stiff are not the same thing. Fast action describes how it flexes. If most of the initial flex is in the upper 1/3rd of its length, it's a fast action blank.

The numbers would indicate a Fly Rod, 9' 6-weight in 4 pieces. The problem is, that's common nomenclature used by several companies. Are there any other identifying marks or inscriptions on it or the bag?

Doug,
The FR906-4 is an excellent blank, and it is as Tom suggested; a 9' 0" 4pc 6wt.. and it is rated Fast.

Tight wraps!
