Bill,
To be dead honest, I have 2 7' MH Mag Bass rods that go with me every single trip Striped Bass fishing, including tonight. I have bent several of these guides nearly flat to the rod several times. I know they are NOT designed to do this, but the fact remains that I've bent them back to shape again and again. They may break tonight! I cant wait to find out! DR Re: failing fuji sics...

Alex,
Actually, I suspect that a tank feels bumps better than a sports car!!!!!!!!!!! Roger Re: failing fuji sics...

You ain't gonna sell me on that one Roger. DFs add more weight and impact the action of the blank more than SFs.
But who knows... I use no DFs and 90% of my clients are Tx fishermen only who will break a rod to flip a fish in the boat. This year I've only had one guide ring break and one other guide problem that was pure user error (breaking 20# test using the rod... ripped 4 guides completely out of the wraps WITH locking wraps). Never a flattened guide either. And large stripers are common occurances while bass fishing here. Our bass relate to open water and school with the stripers because of the bluebacks. Can't remember how many size 6s and up I've had to repair. Maybe I am lucky (warding off the jinx now). Sensitivity is at the descretion of the user anyway. Too bad there isn't a way to measure. ----------------- AD Re: failing fuji sics...

Alex,
I wasn't comparing your comment about rod guides. I was commenting on your comment about the tank - sports car comparison. Have you ever ridden in a tank?? Pretty rough ride. That is all. Take care Roger Re: failing fuji sics...

Sorry - didn't take that as literal! Good one... made me laugh. (My mind was on rods)
Maybe we should talk about tank sensitivity? :) ha! ----------------- AD Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
