I have a Lamiglas GBT 84 1M blank in the basement, that has been there a while. Does anyone have the specs on this blank? I used to have an older blank catalog, but I must have organized and threw it out, LOL.
Thanks Tony Re: lamiglas GBT 84 1M Question

It's rated a 30 lb blank if I remember right, a very stiff one. Re: lamiglas GBT 84 1M Question

Huh, I tried that search, just forgot the word "blanks" and came up with very little. Thanks

TOny, that blank was the reason Lami had to come up with a COmposite CGBT series to combat teh breakages occuring when fishermen began switching over to no stretch braided lines. If you are going to use it with braid, make sure you don't high stick it, maybe use a 15-20' mono leader, as the blank is quite stiff and with braid it's a combo that will lead to a lot of pulled hooks and missed hooksets. Wow, great info Billy. Funny thing is I thought it was softer than I am used to, LOL. Not too sure what I'm going to do with it yet. If only I can figure out what the specs for the other blanks that I have hanging from the rafters are.

TOny, figure the specs out yourself. YOu can bring everything you got to a NERBs gathering in the Fall and I'll rate them for you if you want.
I think that blank is comparable to teh orgiinal CGBT841M, but has since been reclassified as teh CGBT841MH, or the BL7040 factory rod. It's a Striped Bass, heavy Blackfish type of rod. Re: lamiglas GBT 84 1M Question

Billy, truth be told, I forgot I had the blanks hanging in the basement to begin with, LOL. I have a couple of other blanks I have to build on first, including 2 Swampland Castaway blanks that I picked up at the show, so the others aren't a priority. But if I am able to make a fall gatheing I will toss 'em in the truck. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
