Mornin I'm using ThreadMaster Chroma Seal
for the first time. How long should i wait between coats? The directions call for 3 coats?? With the other color preservers i have used i put on a heavy 1st coat then a thin 2nd coat . Should i apply the ThreadMaster Chroma Seal the same way? Thanks much R. Flynn Re: ThreadMaster Chroma Seal

Don't know why you'd need 3 coats, but I'd follow the manufacturer's directions.

I use 2 coats of Chromaseal, unthinned. and have excellent results. Wait time between coats depends on how fast it dries, but I wait until the thread color is almost back to its original hue, anywhere between 3 and 8 hours, depending on temps and humidity.

I think you have to experiment, and find what works for you. As for me, I only use one, full strength coat of CP. I've never had any issues with this, using Chromaseal, the old Gudebrod, and the Trondak CP. Re: ThreadMaster Chroma Seal
