I have used Permagloss for the first two coats on the wraps, and want to use epoxy for the third coat. What is going to happen if I do this?
Thanks, Jim Re: Epoxy over Permagloss

PG gases off, and if it is still drying, you will get air bubbles in your epoxy finish.
If it has completely dried, you should have no problems. Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else. Leonardo da Vinci Re: Epoxy over Permagloss

The statement above is completely correct. However, I might add that the curing takes SEVERAL days before it is OK to cover with a regular epoxy. Re: Epoxy over Permagloss

Dont recoat it if you can smell the PG at all. Like said above, give it several days at least.

Depends on the humidity. If you live in the semi-desert , like me, allow a week. If you live in te swamplands, probably a couple of days. Re: Epoxy over Permagloss

Isn't that backwards George? I live in the high desert and the drying time is sometimes quite short. I'm giving the Permagloss three days. Re: Epoxy over Permagloss

The higher the humidity, the quicker PermaGloss will dry. The lower the humidity, the longer it will take.
