If someone has a better idea for sources for good, top quality winding checks (gold, silver or black), Im all ears. The rubber ones from the big 2 aren't cuttin it.

Bingham carries the Fuji version. They are also cheaper than Matagi.

In the Fuji winding checks I have the colors: red, blue, silver and gold in sizes 6 thru 16.5 and if you take a look at my bargain basement section I have some listed at overstock pricing.
Thank you-

Matagi has many more options than the rest. The inventry of components is vast and reasonably priced if you buy direct.

I have a friend who goes to JApan every so often, so I'm placing orders frequently from various Japanese suppliers as well as tackle shops. I have an order showing up here the end of next week, if there's something you want e-mail me.

Mud Hole has a nice selection of anodized aluminum winding checks in FIVE colors ... red, blue, purple, gold and silver. Size 7.0mm to 16.0mm. I have been happy with them AND the price is right.

Alex,
I buy direct all the time. I am not a company, just a retail customer.
If you learn Japanese, it it easier to order!!
Cheers
Chris

IMo - it's awaste buying just the winding checks. IF you're going to put trim on a rod, get some of the obscure and really cool stuff available and go all out. It's amazing what a little bling on a KDPS seat will do for a rod. Spice itup with some KD Gear #1, 2, 3, or 4, or even SD Gear.

I find it very easy to read Japanese, when the Japanese is written in English. The last line of the last paragraph probably looks like Japanese to half the peopel who read it.

Where is the best place to see the Matagi full product line? Only source I've seen had a very limited selection.

THE best place would be to look at the MAtagi catalouge. On line or the actual catalouge itself.
