Guide Spacing - need advice

Need the advice from those more experienced than me... I'm having difficulty finding suggested guide spacing for two rods I have under construction.

Can anyone offer recommendations? Specifically I am building two inshore wadefishig rods:
1) Batson XSB822.5 - 6'-10" casting rod
2) Batson IP843 - 7'-0" blank trimmed to 6'-9"; casting rod

I've searched the Batson site; their specs only show these blanks in a spinning configuration.

Any advice would be great!

Many thanks,
George

Batson has a guide spacing chart. Rule of thumb for every foot of rod you should have a guide. I would start out at 4 inches from the tip top add one inch after that. Try placing the stripper about 24 inches from the center of the reel seat. Next do a stress test to find the correct guide placement

George you can start with this site. It's a great resource to use when going through options with perspective customers. Then of course you place your order through one of our sponsors to the left.

Once in the site go to the catalog tab. Once in the catalog you can either print or zoom to see each item.

It may take a little time to download. And most importantly you may need to adjust to fit the blank you plan to use.

If you send Karry Batson an email he will give you some guide lines for guide placement for casting, if not an actual spacing chart. You just have to ask him.
