Hey ya'll, I currently have a pac bay rw-xl, I like the machine well enough but am getting to the point where I want to build my own. I've been working on a few designs and am looking to find the best quality parts for my machine. Where do I need to start? I have heard taig lathe parts were good, where can I get those, any others worth checking out? also do the sponsers carry the parts I need or should I look else where?
Oh by the way thanks for all the responses in my thread about the epoxy mixer, I built one today and I think it will work like a charm, though I havent tried it out yet. I post a pic a some point along with some pics of my 3 latest builds. Dave Re: Custom rod wrapper/lathe

You can do a google search for Taig Tools and find their website. Most of their lathe parts are available direct.

Dave,
Yes, Taig parts work well. I use some of these on my power wrapper for both head stock as well as lathe chuck. I prefer to use a DC motor and controller on the lathe for better speed, as well as ease of reversing the motor. If you would like more information on the use and or making of such a motor, drop me an e-mail. hflier@comcast.net Take Care Roger Re: Custom rod wrapper/lathe

I don't have much to add on the lathe portion, but once you add rollers for the rod skateboard or rollerblade bearings with 22mm round o-rings works awesome. I just made my third rod wrapper and I used the bearings and they work awesome.
