Tom,
I read your article on extending rod blanks, what I would to know is what wall thickness of aluminum tubing to use on light weight rods being extended 12 inches. Thanks in advance Mike Re: Rod extension

Mike,
Although aluminum will work fine, try using a piece of scrap blank. It is not a bad idea to keep some old rods around just to use as scrap material to extend blank and for general repair work. Just use the size blank that will nicely fit over the butt of the blank that you want to extend. Take care Roger Re: Rod extension

For all but the heavy duty rods, what you find at most any hardware store or home improvement store will be fine. Just stay away from the extremely thin-wall tubing, although this is rarely sold at such places anyway.

Go to a golf outlet store and buy graphite driver club handles for $10-$20 very light weight, you will need a piece 24" long to ext 12", 12" inside rod and 12" ext. Re: Rod extension

No need to go that far with the junction, and for such an extension you want to go outside the blank not inside it.
