Question regarding different ring materials

Hey all got a question for you. I have used only fuji guides on the rods that I have built. I looked at the Batson Guides at the show, they looked sharp especially the VS3. That being said I am a little confused regarding the ring materials. Best I could figure:

Batson "H" Ring = Fuji Hardaloy
Batson Zirconium = Fuji Alconite
Batson Blue TiO, Tin Gold, Chameleon, and PVD TiCh Over Zirconium = ????
Batson SIC = Fuji SIC

Is this about right? I am thinking of considering VS3's for saltwater use and was trying to pick the correct frame/ring materials.

Thanks
Tony

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by equating them, ex: Batson "H" Ring = Fuji Hardaloy.

If you'll shoot an email to Bill or Karry I'm sure they'll be more than happy to run down their ring materials for you. I don't think you're far off but you may wish to check with them.

Thanks Tom, I have primarily used the alconite guides from Fuji and would like to try the comparable Batson ring material and see how they compare.

Robert, maybe "=" was a bad choice of wording, I was looking for the most comparable material to the corresponding fuji ring material if that makes sense.

SIC is a known entity, the other terms like "hardloy" and "alconite" are company monikers for a certain ring/guide type. I"m pretty sure all those you mention, with the exception of SIC, are Aluminum Oxide rings of varying composition and finish polish.

On page 26 of Batson's catalog there is a description of their ring materials. It's probably listed on their website also.
