flocking on flocking

My first grip that I put flocking int has wore off, I used the wrong fibers and did not seal the cork properly, double whammie!
So now I have got the hang of it I want to re do the original. So if I sand off the little bit of remaining fuzz can I apply the glue on top of the previous glue?
Cheers Ron.

Ron, I did the same thing once. I failed to completely read the article initally and used U40 cork seal to seal the cork. Well, that stuff has a reaction with the adhesive....darn stuff never cured.

The point to all this is that I used drywall sanding screen to sand off the remaining adhesive, cleaned up the cork, used color preserver to seal it and then redid the flock job. That rod is still looking like day 1 several years later.

I now use the foam core's to do my flocked grips, no sealing required.
