Limited Edition CD

Originally I had planned to release the first few volumes of RodMaker on CD and then release 1 additional volume each subsequent year. Because the CD’s never sold well, I pretty much dumped the idea of releasing any more.

I had already prepared volumes 6, 7, 8 and 9 for subsequent release in pdf form. While I no longer have plans to release them on individual CDs, I’d like to clear out the rest of the CD’s and related cases and labels. So, I’m going to burn the last 25 or so CDs I have left so that each one includes a full 8 volumes (#’s 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9) all on the same CD. We’ll consider this a sort of limited edition and when they’re gone, that’s it. The price is $99.95 ppd. If you bought all 8 CDs you’d pay $320. If you bought all the hard copy issues from those volumes you’d pay $382. So $99.95 should be a bargain.

The case and labeling won’t include the tables of contents for all 48 issues that comprise those 8 volumes (the individual CDs did but there isn't room to do all 8 on one CD case). But each CD will contain all the original issues of each of those volumes from V2 through and including V9.

This offer is good only by mail order. Please no phone orders (I have no one to answer the phone).

I think I’ll have about 20 or 25 of them available. First come, first served. When they’re gone, that’s it. If your check arrives after they’re sold out, I’ll return it.

I won't have enough of these to bother putting them on the website - I've have to take them back down inside of a week.

If you want to use a credit card, put the information in a letter and mail it. That will work, too.

Tom, being relatively new to rod building I would really like to get all this information you're offering. To ensure that I'm able to get a copy, may I include a blank CD and slimline CD case along with my payment? It'll be in todays mail.

Thank you very much.

Thanks,
Chad Huderle

No, don't do that - my days are pretty well full as it is. If you mail today or tomorrow you're pretty sure to get one.

I had an email from a gentlemen that had recently bought the 4 original individual CDs. He was a little upset that he had already spent more on those 4 volumes than a person can now get a full 8 volumes for. I'm afraid that's the way things go (buy a computer or TV and next month the price will drop).

However, I will make this offer for those who have previously bought all the available RodMaker CDs - return all the CDs (Volume 2, 3, 4 and 5) to me in the original cases and I will send you a new CD containing volumes 2 through 9 at no charge. That way you're getting the additional Volumes 6, 7, 8 and 9 on me, no additional charge to you.

Most companies wouldn\'t worry a speck about those who bought previously. Good on \'ya, Tom!

I can't mail to Canada. The time to drive to the Post Office, stand in line, fill out customs forms, etc., is just beyond my capability. My daily schedule won't allow for that. Very sorry.

I had a dealer express an interest in carrying a few and they do mail to Canada. Let me see what works out and how many of these I'm going to have and I'll have someone get in touch with you if it's possible.

I have a dealer who is interested in buying a half dozen copies for distribution in Canada. Email me and I'll forward that information.
