Glass Coat vs. LS Supreme etc.

I am ready to epoxe my latest rod and will be using Glass Coat which works very well for me.
I may run out before the project is completed and was wondering if I would encounter any problems using LS Supreme I have left as a final coat or two if necessary after the previous coats of Glass Coat are cured well. I am not sure if the chemical composition of the different products will interfere with each other.
I know I could order more Glass Coat which I will, but would like to get this one done ASAP.
Thanks again for any advice.

I'm not sure on this one Tom...I think you'll be ok after the glass coat cures...others will chime in I'm sure....why not do half and half...meaning mix up enough glass coat to do a few guides COMPLETELY...then use the LS supreme on the rest of the guides..that way you don't have to worry about the 2 different finishes reacting adversely with each other. and you get the rod done ASAP...if you are worried about one finish being better than another well I think anyone would have a hard time proving that point...they all work well and level like they are supposed to...the key is how you mix and apply, after that leave it alone and let it do it's job.

You will have a very hard time finding a place to order Glass Coat from. I think it went the way of the Dodo Bird.

Glass Coat has been off the market for several years now.

Epoxies such as these are 100% solids and will not interact nor interfere with each other. There are no solvents to create problems with underlying coats.

Glass Coat seemed similar to Flex Coat and Classic Coat.

Similar, but with a much quicker set and cure time. The owners decided that they didn't want to be in the business of selling small quantities of the product, such as that purchased by custom rod builders.
