In my enthusiam to finish my second rod. I coated my guide wraps with rod expoxy. I did measure precise and mix well. Just didn't dawn on me till 2 hours later that had I had used wrong material. It dried clear as a bell and looks fine ? Am I going to have big problems with this ?? I hate the thought that I might have screwed up a perfectly good build by this error.
What's the bad news ? Is there any good news ? Thanks Eric Re: OK so here's what happenned!

The flexcoat 2 part rod expoxy. What if I seal over rod epoxy with thin coay of correct finish ?

Eric,
The wraps will likely be fine, but will yellow quickly over time if you're talking about a 5 or 30 min product like Flex Coat?? What epoxy did you use? DR Re: OK so here's what happenned!

i did the same thing once with flex coat. it worked fine untill i tried to remove it 3 years later hard as a goat horn wish i had redune the rod sooner. i think it would have been easier to redue it the next day rather then wait 3 years. that stuff gets hard and cracks around guide foot the epoxey wont flex enough .
