YES ...................ALL maderia has silicon in it
UNLESS you want fish eyes in it in which case NO

I would recommend that you do two test wraps. Do both wraps the same and coat one with CP and nothing on the other. Now put the finish coat on them. Some of us have had problems with white spots with CP on the black threads from Maderia. And yes you can do tartans with Maderia without the worries of fisheyes. Do not use any flame on the finish. Billy can confirm this.

The photos will tell the store.... the threads go translucent. Once again, do a test wrap on a dowel, scrap blank, PVC pipe. Experiment.
