If so I was curious as to what action the blank is and how it performs?
thanks,
Tom.

I've got an IF1085-4 in the works right now. In fact I was so excited when they came in that I made off with a 5wt (for float tubing) and forgot to put them up on our site!! lol

Mine is moderate to fast and feels like it will load with a 5wt. line no problem. All of my "ERN" stuff is burried right now, so I can't give you an exact rating. I may have it finished up over the weekend and will report back as soon as I do.

Which weight are you looking at? I think Terry Henson has 6 & 7wt's in the works right now too.

I've built the 7 wt. and 5 wt. Rainshadow switchers. Bought the seven from Karry Batson at last year's rod expo and he filled me in on the details of bringing these blanks to the market.
So far only able to use them for stillwater fishing mostly overhead casting shooting heads and tossing indi rigs. They seem to be best described as medium fast.
They cast great and I think they are an amazing value. I've matched my 5 with an Airflo 40+ #8 floater or a 9 wt. fast sinking shooting head.
The 7 wt. also needs uplining about two line weights with single hand WF floaters. Steelhead taper single hand floaters uplined about two line weights can work
well on these guys, too. I don't know if Batson has grain windows for these rods but a short Skagit head setup for similar line class switch rods should be real close.
Hard to beat these blanks unless you spend a lot more dough or want a really fast or slow action for a particular fishing situation.

John
