I have found a an old rod that I would like to restore---it is a Tidewater 5 ft. with a roller guide at the stripper and at the tip top------As I can make out on the rod it is composite and is in good shape other than the wraps are not good now and I would like to know if this worth my time. The EVA is like new----I belive it has just set up a long time

It's not an expensive rod so whether or not it's worth your time is hard for any of us to say. If you can put it back in service just by rewrapping and finishing the guides, I'd say it's a decent project.

Redo it. Heck, I am redoing some Wonder rods from the 60's for a friend of mine. My friend used to take his son Coaker fishing when he was a boy and would like to keep the rods as a remembrance of good times past. His son is now a captain in the local fire department so I guess the time spent with him in the outdoors paid off.
